Trend Watch: Wrapped Personal Vehicles

Want to turn heads when you drive? Tap into a trend that many celebrities are using to add flash to their rides: wrapped personal vehicles.

Advertisers aren’t the only ones using vehicle wrap to dress up their fleets. Many celebrities – as well as cutting edge non-VIPs – are using vehicle wrap as an alternative to custom paint jobs. And unlike many celebrity fads, this one makes sense: Designers will be able to recreate just about any look they want with little difficulty, wrapping is much more cost-effective than custom paint jobs and it’s temporary, which means you won’t be stuck with a dragon on your hood when you get sick of it.

Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sylvester Stallone’s wrap has been heralded as tasteful, while a British soccer player’s camouflage Bentley has drawn some criticism. While we’re not one to judge, the variety in celebrity vehicle wrap is a testament to the new media’s versatility. We’ll reserve comments on Snooki’s faux-leather-wrapped Escalade and Justin Bieber’s chrome-wrapped Fisker Karma.

We’re here for a full wrap, just a hood or hood, doors and whatever you need. If you can dream it up, our designers can deliver it. Want to follow in Snooki’s footsteps and get leopard print? No problem. Thinking more fantastic? Maybe dragon scales? We can even help you recreate your favorite vehicle from television or the movies. There’s little to hold you back when you choose to wrap personal vehicles!
